Corrado is without a doubt an exceptional sport horse. With his rider, Joachim Heyer, he has been placed at several international competitions competing at the highest level. Corrado showed off his excellence by winning S – level classes at the SCI Verden 2011 and the highly respected show in Lastrup run by Böckmann amongst others. His list of placings at this highest level of S*** is long, and shows his accomplishments well. In 2012 Corrado proved that he can go above and beyond by participating in the arguably most difficult jumping course in the world – the Hamburg Derby, where he walked away with a great 10th place in the finale.

Bred by Annelie Voss in Wasbeck in the German province of Holstein, Corrado was only discovered as a 9 year old in Italy by Joachim Heyer. In Italy he had been competing very successfully in the young horse competitions. Joachim Heyer brought the stallion back to Germany, where in 2009 he was acquired by the Hamburg native Gabriele Block. Ever since his return to Germany he has been accumulating his various successes. By the middle of 2012 his life earnings amounted to 13 266€. In 2011 Corrado was awarded the title ‘OS – Oldenburg International’ to honor his accomplishments.

Corrado is a son of the legendary Cor de la Bryere/Capitol sire Corrado I, who is already being considered as one of the great line building stallions for the Holstein breed. Corrado I himself celebrated many international victories under his rider Franke Sloothaak. Corrado’s dam is the mare Cilli, a filly by the interesting Thoroughbred Grundyman xx. Grundymann xx is one of the oldest Holstein stallions who has won a sum of 250 000€ in his early days running steeple chases in France.

Corrado himself comes from the Holsteiner line 4. This line has amongst others produced approved stallions Magister, Pocahontas, Laurano, Skyron, Vittorio, and the with Phillipp Weishaupt very succesfull Leoville (by Landor).

Corrado’s half- sister Heidi (by Cor de la Bryere) is the dam of Lucky S, who has been successful in classes up to 1.30m. She is also the grand- dam of Alorat who has been making heads turn in jumping classes up to 1.60m.
